After testing 10 subjects (5 young participants and 5 older participants ), the blood pressure level of young and old age participants did show a significant difference. Table 1 shows that the normal average Heart rate for the older age group was 107.4/70, which is considered to be normal. After, the film their blood pressure increased at an average of 119/73.6 which was also considered normal but did increase from the initial results. As for the younger subjects, Their normal blood pressure average was at a 117.6/79.8, which is also considered normal as well. Then the post-fear results were at an average of 103.2/84.8, which is slightly above normal. This is significantly more of a difference than expected. The test results show that all participants had an increase in blood pressure and heart rate. Graph 1 shows the difference in heart rate and blood pressure of older and younger participants.
Outcome 1 Initially, the blood pressure and heart rate from both group participants appear to be normal. Since they were given 2-3 minutes for their hearts to rest.
Outcome 2 The younger participants had a higher blood pressure and heart rate than the older subjects. Therefore, there was more of an effect towards younger people.
