Description
On my second experience on the obstetric ward I was assign to a patient. B.J is 24-years-old old para 3 gravida 2, patient has a 5-years-old daughter and a 3 days old baby boy. The patient stated that this birth was difficult and stressful, because she had UTI, pre-term contraction at 27 weeks and was hospitalized for 3 weeks. She then returned to the hospital at 35 weeks with another pre-term contraction, high blood pressure and funneling cervix.
Feeling
I felt quite sad about the trouble she went through to bring this beautiful baby into the world. I couldn’t understand how something so precious could be this life threatening. I was thinking what could had cause her pre-term contractions, it could be several different factors
