Often times, the college preparation process can mean acquiring many material things. Generally, how you go above preparing depends on whether a student plan to attend a technical school, community college or a four year university. The supplies needed may change depending on what higher education institution one pursues. Going off to school, students want any and everything that they can get for their dorm or apartment. When shopping the student don’t look at what is a need or a want, but more on having the comforts of home. First, the list of the electronics may include, a computer/laptop, printer, an alarm clock, cell phone and a surge protector. None of the things on the list is an absolute need for school, but more of a want. Most of the things on the list can be found in the school library. However, if the student had their

Accessories like the other categories are wants not a necessity. I feel I need my purse and/or backpack to carry around things that I feel I need to have with me. In this day and age, we are expected to have an ID with us.
Finally, there are a need for grooming supplies. I think that business of advertising plays a part in our need to purchase some of our grooming supplies. For example, we buy laundry soap, dish soap and soap for bathing. I recall growing up when the dishes and laundry use to be done with the same soap. We need to ask ourselves why the soap that good enough to wash our clothes isn’t good enough to wash our body. Then there is the shampoo and conditioner we think we need to clean our hair, but it’s a want as well. Back in the day, grandmas clean everything with one bar of lye soap.
We have to have a toothbrush and toothpaste to clean our teeth. Think about how many times went on a trip or just out for the day without a toothbrush. If we needed to clean our teeth, we just swished water around our mouth or used out
