OS1 Williams is the native of Bronx, New York. He was raised in the Bronx during his early years and New Jersey during his late years. He is a graduate of Snyder High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at the age of eighteen on September 9, 1996. He attended recruiting training boot camp at Great Lakes, Illinois.
After boot camp, he went to OS “A” School at Damn Neck in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Thereafter completing OS “A” school, he was stationed on USS Callahan DDG 994 in Everett, Washington state. He was sent out on his first deployment to South America in which resulted in a hundred million dollar drug bust. After deployment the ship decommissioned and he was transferred to USS Anzio CG68 in Norfolk, Virginia where he spent 4 years. …show more content…
In 2004, he was transferred to USS Doyle FFG39 in Mayport, Florida in which he served 5 years there. He did three deployments within those times and as a watch supervisor, he was responsible for three drug busts.
In 2009 he was transferred to NRD New York for recruiting. He recruited 35 future sailors and stayed at NRD New York till 2012. In 2012, he got transferred to USS Curtis Wilbur DDG54 in Yokosuka, Japan and stayed for 2 years. In 2014, he was transferred to USS San Jacinto CG56 in which he remained there presently.
OS1 Williams’s awards include the Navy Achievement Medal (Sixth award), 5 Good Conduct Medal (fifth award) and various awards. OS1 Williams has a wife named Julienne Williams who resides in Smyrna, Delaware and a daughter named Nygia who lives in Jacksonville Florida. in which one was another South
