Nyetazia and Ms. Hicks both believe in the value of receiving an education and how educating oneself is important and necessary to move forward in life. However, Nyetazia stated she does not like going to her school. Nyetazia does not believe the school environment is either encouraging or supportive. Nyetazia stated she is constantly having issues with peers, which often leads to her getting into physical altercations and suspended from school. Nyetazia stated there have been several occasions when she simply did not feel like going to school and refused to go. Nyetazia stated she does not feel close to any authority figure in the school and there is no one she looks up to. Nyetazia reported she has never been diagnosed with a mental health condition nor has she undergone any type of psychiatric or psychological testing. However, due to her verbalizing homicidal ideations directed towards her mother and her mother’s boyfriend, her mother voluntarily took her to Maryview Medical Center in an attempt to have her admitted for a psychological evaluation. When it was determined that Nyetazia did not meet criteria for admission to Maryview, she was ordered to be admitted to Crisis Intervention Home on 06/06/17. Ms. Hicks has scheduled an appointment for a psychological evaluation with Christian Psychotherapy set for 07/26/17. Nyetazia has shown no indications of suicidal …show more content…
Nyetazia can sometimes identify problem behaviors or situations, but cannot think of or apply solutions. She believes most of her problem behavior is beyond her control. She usually fails to identify triggers in her environment that cause her problems. Regarding her social skills, Nyetazia can reason there are two sides to a situation, but can have trouble accepting other points of view. She cannot express needs to others without an element of interpersonal conflict or lack of clarity. Nyetazia lacks skills and motivation for developing realistic goals and plans.
Nyetazia has never been employed. She is not involved in any recreational activities, structured or unstructured, and shows no interest in joining any. Nyetazia has no hobbies that challenge or excite her, and cannot suggest any. Nyetazia stated she enjoys spending majority of the time on social media or being outside with her friends. Nyetazia has no self-reported career
