Persuasive Essay On Degrading School Lunches

Lunch seems to be one of the things students look forward to throughout their day. They get to be out of the classroom, talk with friends and enjoy themselves. But what are they faced with? Degrading school lunches. They have to wait in a long line just to get something that doesn 't even look or smell appealing. Although school lunches have to meet a certain dietary plan, they are ridiculous because you don’t get enough food, it is gross, there are not enough nutrients in the meal, and it is overpriced for how much food we are actually getting.
The proportions of school lunches are small. As you go through the lunch line they just scoop your food onto the tray without a care. They do not even look at who they are giving the food to. Some people require more food intake to satisfy them. People who are more athletic require more proteins and need the food for energy. Without that energy, they could slack off and not have the motivation to pay attention during class. This is a problem among many schools. The schools have to meet a certain budget but should that come before a student 's health? One of the lunches at Four County was just two cheese breadsticks, vegetables, fruit, and a milk. For your tiny meal, you have to pay $3.50. That is a little outrageous if you ask me. You can get a grilled cheese and Northwest that is almost the size of the styrofoam trays for a $1.50 and that fills you up more than the school lunches. It’s crazy how expensive school lunches are.
