I can also utilize it to sustain the morale at a high level, especially during difficult periods to maintain productivity (Rath, Conchie Strengths-Based Leadership Report, 2016).
Since my leadership strength is team building, one of the 4 domains of leadership strength, I am aware that I still need to find representatives for the remaining 3 categories. These will consist of people who are superior than I am in those areas. According to Rath and Conchie (2008), the 4 domains are required to construct a team with strong unity and broad diversity.
My strength could potentially weaken my team’s success if I begin to avoid people who are less than truthful because they lack the characteristics of being open and honest and devote more of my time with those who have these similar traits as me. This can jeopardize the stability of the team because it can make them will feel alienated and unsupported (Rath & Conchie, 2008), which opposes my
