I would show them how to cover the mouth with coughing into their elbow. Personal should wear personal protective equipment according to Pilllitteri a "HEPA or other biosafety mask should be worn when caring for a patient."(pg.1258 Pillitteri). Nursing Intervention could be to monitor intake and output which will assess for hydration. " Limit movement of patient from one room to other areas. If a patient must be moved they need to wear a surgical mask"(pg. 1258 Pillitteri).
