I agree with you, I believe there are numerous ways in which Ms. Boiko can get involve in her care. I also believe that the nurse should have seek her input and preferences about her care such as nutrition, and answer any questions she might have. I believe she should have also been encouraged to use the call bell to inform / remind staff to position her, thus allowing her to be involve or in control of the care she is receiving.
