A Psychiatric Nurse is a nurse who works with teens, children, and adults of all ages. A psychiatric Nurse or PMHNP, psychiatric-mental health nurse, deals with adults, children, and teens with mental disorders or illnesses such as schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, autism, and many other types. They evaluate a patient, diagnose and treat accordingly. A psychiatric nurse can prescribe medicine to the patient/s. A PMHNP can also start his or her own practice and corporations with the help of their community, groups, and legislatures as well as other corporations.
