Research Question The research questions are the questions that the author is trying to answer. This emphasizes the information needed to bring a resolution to the problem statement. In this article, the research question was in reference to how to explain successful domination of a market when the blue ocean strategy or fast second strategy do not explain it. This enabled the author to then conduct more research in order to find the answer. The author then came up with the four breakthrough rule in order to explain the knowledge gap in the current research.
Methodological Choice When research is conducted there has to be method to find and collect data. The data is then used as findings in order to support the point of the author. The choice of method used is the methodological choice. In this article, the authors used a qualitative method as their methodological choice. This report is called the Discussion. In this article the discussion refers to the findings of the research and the four breakthrough rule. The four breakthrough rule goes beyond the Blue Ocean and Fast Second strategy in order to explain market domination. The Four Breakthroughs strategy explains that submarket control can be accomplished by four types of breakthroughs that occur same time. The first type of breakthrough is technological, which occurs when a new technology outshines existing technology. Business model is the second type of breakthrough, which occurs when to a new method is used in order for business opportunities to create value. The third type of breakthrough is design breakthrough, which occurs when a new approach is formed in order to design the product without changing it.
