For this small group lesson, there were six students from a variety of learning levels. Students were familiar with the Magic School Bus series of books and television shows so they had a very good idea of what would be happening in the book I used. Students were attentive and willing to answer all of my questions. As I read the book, I asked questions to help students remember the sequence of events. I also had students give me the definition of more complex words used in the book. For example, plummeting and fierce were two words used in the book that I asked students to clarify. Students were engaged and they giggled during parts of the book that was humorous. After reading the book and asking follow up questions to remind students
