Introduction “Leadership” is a word that we use often, used in many occasions and in a wide variety of context. But do we really know what it means? Northouse (2013) said “Leadership is a process whereby an individual influences a group of individuals to achieve a common goal”. As we see, from Northouse’s definition of leadership, we try to derive some important points to take note of, and the first point is that leadership is a process. What we need to know is leadership is truly a process, and not merely a position, and it is developed overtime with the use of power and influence (Hughes et. al., 1993). For me trigger events can be seen as a motivation, seeing how far he has come from the beginning, and keeps him on his toe for any situation that may arise that may cause some issue to his job or his new business. That’s why he keeps pushing harder to reach something that his whole family could not achieve before, financial security.
