North Carolina Tragic Moment

It was a Sunny day in North Carolina what was known a tragic moment that's about to happen. When I was in 5th grade my family and I were going to North Carolina. It was September 2013 and I was having fun and my family was also having fun and the group that we wen in North Carolina. We were windsurfing on a lake that was strange and scary. In this lake it isn’t like a normal lake it is really weird it had grass and rocks instead of sand. But I wasn’t scared of that I was scared for animals that were there inside this strange lake. In this lake you have to wear rubber shoes to protect you feet. There were stingrays, pufferfish, crabs, fishes, and snakes. So I barely windsurfed because I was scared to go there. And trying to be calm as possible like nothing happen, but still in pain. When everyone came back they looked at my foot and said,”I need stitches”. When I heard the word stitches my heart stop pounding. Even the nurse said I need stitches. Then my dad helped me go down the stairs so I can make it to the car because I couldn’t walk at all. When I got into the car my heart started to pound faster than ever before. We stop at the nearest hospital to see if they can’t stitch my leg, but they said,” they can’t stitch it”. So the only choice I had to go to the emergency room. When I arrive to the emergency room they check me in taking my blood pressure and my temperature. When they took it was a little bit too high because I was scared and worried. Then they told us to take a sit to wait until there is a room available. After 30 mins of waiting they took me into a room and they first took x- ray to see if I had glass inside the wound because my foot touch the garbage bag and probably cut my leg by a glass there is nothing else that couldn’t cut my …show more content…
A big machine comes into the room and starts taking a picture of my foot. Then the doctor told us to wait 20 mins until the results come in. When the results come in there were no glass in my wound. So I got happy, but I still had to get stitches. Then the doctor started washing of the mess around my wound with soap and water that when it started to sting like crazy like I just got stung by hundred bees. After the doctor finished washing the wound on my foot, he gave me a shot in my foot. I asked if I can get a blanket so I won’t see my wound and the procedure. Then they bring a blanket and it was warm, so it calmed me down kind of. So I put the blanket over my head so I won’t see anything. It’s time to get stitches. The doctor comes back and I see some tools. I saw different kinds needles and some thread. When the doctor started, I was not in pain. He numbed my foot so that's why. The doctor continued. It took a long time just laying down in pain. When the doctor was at the edge of my wound it started to hurt so I told him and he gave another shot and quickly finished. When he finished I look at my foot and see stitches in a line of my foot. I got twelve stitches. Then the doctor brings a cast and I put it on my
