Well, due to the fact of human activity and mistaking them as pets, they have been released or have escaped, have been thriving and reproducing in Florida, which is a very bad thing. Due to the fact that they are large creatures, they need large animals to feed on, so they have been found eating many pets and have been truly damaging the native populations of animals in Florida. They have also been known to attack people due to the human activity and them looking for more suitable prey. There have been many reports about these strong creatures escaping their cages or coming into a person’s house and strangling the owner to death, and in worse cases, eating them whole. And the worse part, there are no natural predators able to take down the beast.
There has been many researchers looking to finding a way to combat these snakes. Many people have decided that during the winter, when the pythons are the most vulnerable, to go out them hunt them. But, more chilling things have been discovered, that they have been breeding with another invasive species, the Burmese Python, which has sometimes grown even larger than the African Rock, and have found many hybrids which they fear will become even more dangerous creatures. But until then, they are still trying to find a way to fight them
