What is noise Pollution?
Sound is crucial to our lives in daily bases, but not noise. In generally noise is defined as unwanted sound which produces uncomfortable effects and course discomfort on the human ears.
As soon as sound starts to interfere with daily activities or diminishes one’s quality of life it becomes unwanted sound (noise). Not all noise can be called noise pollution.

Noise (sound) is measured in the units of decibels and is denoted by the dB. Noise that is greater than 115 dB is tolerant. The limitation of sound in the industries must be 75 dB according to the World Health Organization [2].
Noise is treated as environmental pollution, even though it is thought to have little damage on humans than water, air and land pollution. But people who are affected by noise pollution know that it is small issue and needs attention [1].
Most Common noise
(i) Household sources:
Gadgets like kitchen food mixer, grinder, vacuum cleaner, washing machine and cooler, air conditioners, can be very injurious to health and noisy. Others include sound systems loud speakers and TVs and ear phones. Another example may be your neighbor’s dog barking at night [3].
(ii) Social events:
Worship Places, night clubs and gigs, parties and other social events also produces a lot of noise for the people stays in that area. whey these events are not often, they can be called 'Nuisance' rather than noise pollution [3].

Generally, all the above can mean different things to different people. For example, if your neighbor is a lover of cats, and you are not, it will not be long before you have problems if the cats keep coming to your balcony.
