The use of these different races uses ethos to get to the emotional side of the audience. Consumers are effected by this because it targets more people without having to change script or anything of that nature. Many feel like the commercial is positioned towards them just because of the color of the skin of the actors. Depending on the race of each athlete, they can draw more attention to Nike by having that in common with the consumer viewing the commercial. Gender in this commercial is also used to appeal to the senses of the audience. This keeps stereotypes of sports from being a male dominated topic and raises their sales because women are athletes also. Women are highly targeted by Nike because the clothing line and styles that are constantly being produced. In the commercial, it portrays the examples of male and female clothing lines, shoes, and sports equipment for both the male and female athletes. Nike is not focused on a single gender or race and this commercial is a perfect example of what Nike has to offer in that aspect without having to directly come out and say that. The use of their brand is powerful in becoming the greatest athlete they can be. With the help of Nike apparel, people can be a professional athlete with just a little practice. Nike brand helps consumers compete at their peak performance. Athletes in this commercial are told they are champions, but consumers visualize the success that could be achieved with the use of Nike products. This commercial not only utilizes success of athletes for attraction of buyers but also the use of many different sports in the commercial. This is a great way to attract a larger audience because not everyone that uses Nike is going to participate in the same sports. Nike uses sports such as basketball, running, karate, swimming, gymnastics, and that is not even all used in this sport. The advantage of Nike giving the visual of all the sports that they produce products for allows them to reach a broader group of consumers. The potential consumers viewing this commercial have many choices of sports to strike their interest into wanting to purchase the products shown in the commercial or products they find after this commercial related to their specific sport. Nike takes full advantage of the broad viewers of sports affiliated consumers and put them in the best position mentally and physically to obtain a new consumer through selling their products in a way that triggers the emotional side
