Nietzsche presents that Christians base their beliefs on faith, without reason, creating a lifestyle in which we are destined to exist passively. The message he sends is that we have a choice. That is, to become dependent on God in a society that has essentially killed him, or to become our own God. Faith is a pillar of Christianity, but you can't go as far as Nietzsche and say that the Christian moral values are invalid because there is no reason behind it. When he implies that Christians are simply living complacently, he must not understand the meaning of faith. There is two primary categories, general and special. General revelation deals with understanding the basis of God’s word, and existence. By understanding, and having general revelations it can open the door for God to communicate with us in a different kind of way. That leads me to explain Special Revelation. This revelation is similar to general because they are both based on personal experience or understanding, but it goes deeper into specific knowledge about God. You can have most special revelation once you have a strong experiences of general revelations. Bearing your testimony can serve as an indicator of special revelation. If you are inclined to get up in front of people and share your love for God, there must have been some special revelation in your journey of faith. Experiencing the love of God through miracles, and a personal relationship with God, we can experience special revelation in our own lives. Paying attention to other people’s testimonies, or experiences of faith can act as general revelation in which we can utilize to inspire our own faith in God.
