Years ago, if someone mentioned New Zealand in a sentence, they wouldn’t know where it is or what you were talking about. Now New Zealand has grown, and is still growing today. One of the biggest reason now that New Zealand has been recognized more is because of our tourism industry. Tourism is one of New Zealand’s biggest export industries earing $11.8 billion of New Zealand’s current exchange earnings. New Zealand has a reputation of this clean green beautiful image that attracts visitors to our country. Particularly in our summer months- December through to March is when tourism in New Zealand is at its highest peak. Our clean green and beautiful image plays a large part in this and how low pollution is here, our air is so fresh clean and clear. Our culture which can be interesting to tourist and they want to learn more about it. Our climate changes also give New Zealand challenges, especially in Europe and the United Kingdom, this may affect the visitor arrival number if visitors start flying less.
With the current state of Tourism in New Zealand, there are becoming more and more opportunities that will not only benefit or local residents but also our international visitors. With the increase in tourism within New Zealand, there are more jobs which mean more attractions and activities for visitors to experience. There are new opportunities for New Zealand to be advertise more in films, advertisements and even when artist/celebrities come visit our beautiful country. We are becoming more aware as a country which keeps bringing in visitors and keeps New Zealand
