Within the heart of New Orleans, there are varying types of music that contribute to the spirit of the people. My three favorite types of music featured there are, Gypsy Jazz, Zydeco, and Cajun music. Gypsy Jazz which is basically Jazz with and accordion. Zydeco, is very folksy and uses particular instruments like a rub board. It’s typically music that is in more rural areas and sung in Creole French. This coffee shop is best known for its beignets, which is fried sweetened dough with powdered sugar that just melt in your mouth; and its chicory coffee with milk, otherwise known as café al lait. When you’re sitting in the partially enclosed café, you can hear lots of different music from brass band to jazz performers, right across Jackson Square.
