The English henceforth viewed Australia as a land very similar to England and upon arrival
were determined to make it in England’s image, this was not accomplished without
bloodshed however as the native people did not want the Europeans to destroy their home
and fought desperately to preserve it. The new English Australia named New Holland became
a country that was founded in bloodshed, the English did not want this as their public image
and so forged a new Australia, changing the continent once again into a more respectable
English image by stopping the transportation of convicts and focusing on building a strong
colony. By shaping Australia to sustain their English roots, England has had a significant
impact in making Australia into what it is today.

The English did not allow the Aboriginals to retain their beliefs and culture, they believed it
to be wrong as the Aboriginal’s beliefs conflicted against their own and so they forced the
Aboriginals to believe in the English beliefs by taking Aboriginal children and raising them
like white people to develop a strong following of the English religions. Although children
were the main target as they were impressionable, adults were also converted which resulted
in yet more conflict as they fought to prevent the English changing their beliefs. The English
changed the beliefs of the majority of the population, changing the unique continent of
Australia in to one more alike England.
When the English first landed in Botany Bay they brought with them English resources and
ideas, they continued to uphold their English beginnings by continuing to spread their
European influence across the land. The English destroyed and slaughtered many of the
resources and people of Australia and replaced it with their own, continuing their mission
