First of all, I am extremely thankful to be considered for this opportunity. I should represent the New Century Scholarship Program because of my academic success and excellent behavior.
On my report card for the last six weeks my grades are 100 in science, 98 in social studies, 98 in language arts, and a 97 in math I have gotten straight A’s all year. Every since 1st grade I have received Honors on my report cards. I have excellent leadership to which I apply in the various clubs I participate in at Piedmont Middle School.
I participate in Beta Club, I have made signs around the school for our local food drive, have worked the school's snack bars, and have completed more than nine hours of community services working basketball games, …show more content…
This year we didn’t place, but gave amazing effort and had fun. In Drama club, I assisted in writing one play and editing another. The one play I helped write is going to be performed for years to come at the elementary schools. I am acting in two plays, one is the “Domains” which will be preformed for second through third and for the rising sixth graders.The second play is the “Bully Goats” which will be performed for the fourth through fifth grade. I have made over 60 cards and made about 15-20 placemats for the elderly when Drama Club assisted the R.O.C.K. club. I have made costumes for both plays and am in charge of costumes and the introduction of the “Dominos” play.
I have been studying gymnastics and dance since I was two years old, and have won many competitions. I danced on two different competition teams, competing in large and small groups, also solos, duets, in tap, ballet, lyrical, tumbling, and acrogym. We have made states every year and traveled around the state for competitions and we were honored because we were invited to perform two different years at disney …show more content…
I have been working all my life, towards my goal of being a veterinarian. I am working towards that goal by taking animal science next year, which is the only veterinarian class available to freshmen. I am soon going to volunteer at the Monroe Animal shelter, to learn more. My family and I have taken in many stray animals and found them homes for foster animal. We have had many animal births in our house, including cats, dogs, and chickens. We make sure our animals are well taken care of. Before we give the foster animals new homes we do thorough background checks. I am learning about organic farming and that is why we raise our chicken from egg to free
