The Monarchy of the Netherlands The monarchy of the Netherlands is a very young monarchy. It’s a constitutional monarchy and has been since it’s independence. The Netherlands has been ruled by the House of Orange-Nassau since then. The kingdom has evolved well due to the success of the monarchy. The monarchy itself is very effective due to the governmental system it works off of. So far the country has been mostly a neutral country, by not getting involved in world affairs. However, that doesn’t mean the country has been completely left unaffected. In the 1sr century(b.c.), the Frisian and Batvian tribes became the first inhabitants of the land. The Netherlands is the most densely populated countries in Europe, and is one of the most densely populated in the world. The capital of the Netherlands is Amsterdam. The official language i dutch. However, some still speak Frisian, but mostly in Friesland. Economically the Netherlands is stable. They have a good financial policy. In fact, the Netherlands has one of the most open economies, and is in the top 5 for the world’s biggest exporters. The Netherlands are big exporters of agricultural and horticultural products. Throughout the world the Netherlands and Holland are often mixed up, as if they’re the same thing. There’s actually a huge difference between these two places. Holland is actually just a big part of the Netherlands that had a large impact on the country’s economy and wealth. After this it became common for people to say ‘Holland’ and actually be referring to the entire country. The Netherlands is still a growing monarchy that has yet to make any real changes to itself. It hasn’t been in a major part in any world affairs, and it's a very well run so entry that has been thriving successfully since it's independence.
