Neonatal Nurse Career Report

My end objective is to help others and comfort individuals while going through many different serious situations. After graduating from Michigan State University, I will be continuing on the nursing path to become a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. During the nursing path, I will be interacting with diverse individuals from all different age groups. I am always getting commented on my personality about how I do an excellent job of making someone feel great in any situation.

Method For over a year, I volunteered at a nursing home/rehabilitation center in Okemos. With nursing, it requires a lot of hands on experience. I was not able to personally take care of the residents at the nursing home. However, I was able to see firsthand how things operated in the nursing home. Volunteering consisted of conducting activities with the residents. I gain a lot of knowledge and experience just by interacting with the residents and the nurses. I went seeking for my experience which is not the easiest when you don’t have any certification. My plan is to become certified as a nursing assistant as soon as I can. Furthermore, when I was looking for an internship, my whole purpose was to find out that is related to nursing. I found the perfect one at Residential Options. Directly working with kids with disabilities has provided myself with so much knowledge, patience, and experience. Also, going through my own situations help with being in this field. I will also create a checklist or goal list to make sure that I am using my time wisely. Throughout my experiences, I made many different connections which is beneficial. I will keep contact with supervisors and nurses that I have met for advice and encouragement. I would like for my supervisor to give myself an evaluation so I can see the areas I need to
