In “White Tops, Grey Bottoms”, the author explained 2 negative effects of school uniforms on students, especially in public schools. First, schools should collect more money for facilities from the government which means schools do not deserve to collect unbelievably expensive fee from school uniform’s cost, which comes from the parents. Second, school uniforms should have more choices on the colors on the tops, patterns, and shapes of the bottoms. It is too monotone, so another colors such as pink, blue and yellow also should be accepted. Also, trendy patterns and shapes can be appealed the self-expressions and the need of creativity.
