Media stereotypes can affect a person who doesn’t have physical or mental health problems. The guidelines are written to provide for all needs as each person has different needs they attend to and these needs could interfere with the guidelines, as they think people over sixty five are going downhill and fast. Recommendations for physical activity for people over sixty five states that there should be as much physical activity as possible, older adults might not want to go out on the streets for a jog as they have heard of older adults are victims being attacked or mugged. Consult a health professional before starting or increasing physical activity, they could be told that they can’t do much because they are too old or there maybe symptoms that they think are saying that they are getting too old to do exercise when they have a health problem. Start slowly and build up your physical activity, this is due to decreasing of fitness because of age they say but there is multiple cases where some people run every day or every week their whole lives and they are still doing it well over the age of sixty
