Neddy's Journey

Like most classes when we were supposed to of read on one did. The swimmer however is one that I sincerely regret not reading in time. We were never able to discuss it and it was a story that I really enjoyed and would of liked to hear my peers thoughts towards its message.

The connections that appeared between this short story and Hamlet were quite obvious. Neddy's journey through the pools in each backyard was his challenge on his journey of escape. Each encounter that he has with people is another turn in his path, although these obstructions aren't detrimental he has his goal in sight and they appear in the way. The obstacles that Hamlet faced were on a larger scale and he was more in tune with them. His obstacles were for example, Rosencrantz
