Neat people seem to always have a plan in life. If something gets in their way of that plan, then it is simply discarded. It is not being insensitive; it is being focused. This is especially true with sloppy people. Not being able to move on in life makes it difficult to be productive. Neat people do not have to hold on to things. They put things in there, what they think, is respected place and move on. The author is exaggerating neat people’s perspective on how they live life and do things, rather than looking at it as them wanting to be productive and not being held back by holding on to things they do not want to. Britt goes on to say “They have cavalier attitudes towards possessions, including family heirlooms. Everything is just another dust-catcher to them” (315). This exaggerated quote from Britt, clearly shows she does not know very many neat people. Neat people are people too and put everything that holds value to them in a place they feel is right and clearly what they think is clutter out. It is lazier to just keep stuff cluttered everywhere, which is what sloppy people
