The natural hazard of Bushfires are a huge hazard in Australia varying from small grass fires to burning hundreds of acres of land bush houses or farms. There are 6 main fire ratings known to the public they are low, high, very high, severe, extreme and code red, there are often sighns in communityies that display these catorgories and tell what the catorgorie rating for the day is. (the fire catorgorie sighn is shown beside). There are also a scale with a type of area and how high and how severe the damage would be. (wich is shown below in the table)

The natural environment was much damaged in several ways the main way is burn but having a bush fire coming through also can obviously make smoke for the natural environment which causes all sorts of problems like smoke inhalation for animals. When a fire goes through animals also get burnt if they cannot get away especially animals like koala and other slow animals the larger animals tend to get away more like kangaroos and other thing along that line. As well as that there habitat gets destroyed a lot like koala’s leaves gets burnt and kangaroos grass as well as animals at the top of the food chain because the animals at the bottom of the food chain may die leaving the top predators with nothing to eat. This is why after a large bush fire there are often none or very few animals in the area. A bush fire sweeping through a natural environment having a fire sweep through it can also make more trees grow because some species such as the hakea when it dies or gets burnt it releases seeds making other trees. All of this is exactly what happened in black Saturday because it was a very large hot
