Everything you hear about hair is not true. There has been a lot of discussion about the natural hair movement, that has seemingly been sweeping the nation. This discussion on hair brings forth a variety of opinions from women, but one opinion that sticks out more than others is the belief that having natural hair is hard to maintain. A few others, including myself, realize that statement is untrue. Having natural hair can save you money, time and help you gain other advantages.
Women argue that having natural hair is difficult because it is too expensive. With the cost of hair products increasing persistently, I understand why one could feel that way. However, I discovered a secret that hair companies do not like to tell you. You do not need all those products that you see them advertise! A lot of products that women choose to spend their money on can be found in the kitchen, instead of buying that costly moisturizer to hydrate hair, they could simply use water. With most things in life you must learn about it first, practice what you learned, then apply it; hair is no different. One of the most laborious activities that is talked about the most is the essential yet dreaded, wash day, which is used to cleanse hair. It is dreaded because most women lack technique and knowledge on how to deal with wet hair, which makes the process longer. With some research on what is your hair type and learning what works best for it, the time spent washing and detangling could be cut down. Once one learns her hair, the ultimate time saver, a wash and go hairstyle, can be achieved correctly too. Putting hair in protective styles like braids, sew-ins, and twists can free up time that would have been spent styling hair as well.
