According to Ms. Franck nationalism is when people take great and extreme pride in their country or nation. Although nationalism can be bad for example taking way too much pride and getting overly confident and cocky about your country it is more than often a good thing showing that your country is the best. An example of nationalism in America is 4th of July when America finally gained their independence. This is a very well known and widely celebrated holiday in the the US where people do very American things such as dressing up and decorating in red white and blue and sometimes grilling out or eating barbeque. On an everyday basis you might experience nationalism going to a football, baseball, basketball game and singing the national anthem
