Thousands of people were disappointed to watch multiple athletes kneel during the national anthem. “An athlete silently protests during the national anthem. People respond with angry taunts of traitor, you’re a disgrace, and leave our country!” (Bunch pg. 1) The public obviously is not appreciating the actions of some of the world’s most famous athletes, they are setting a bad example for future athletes too. Confidence is what all Detroit Lions fans felt as they prepared for the Thanksgiving game against the Minnesota Vikings to decide the leader of the NFC North. “ they are a team with potential and they're probably going to make the playoffs but not go very far if they do make playoffs.” Niko George said. “The lions are not that good because they have no offensive line to have matthew stafford have enough time to throw the ball.”…

Without Dez Bryant, the Dallas Cowboys' offense has been crippled In hopes to improve an offense that’s struggling, the Dallas Cowboys, who’ve been snake bitten with injuries, have made a change at quarterback. Without quarterback Tony Romo, their four-time Pro Bowler and all-time franchise leading passer, the Cowboys were forced to roll with the arm of backup Brandon Weeden, after Romo fractured his left clavicle against the Eagles in Week 2. In three starts, Weeden completed 71 of 98 attempts, completing 72.4 percent of his passes. That looks sexy on paper, but with Weeden under center, Dallas’ passing game didn’t generate plays beyond intermediate distances to stretch opposing defenses for big plays.…

As if this wasn't devastating enough the very next week, their playmaker and heart of the offense Tony Romo went during the third quarter resulting in a broken clavicle. So there they were.…

Kansas City Chiefs (11-5) at Houston Texans (9-7) What a season it has been for the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs were left for dead after starting the season 1-5, averaging 21.2 points per game over their first six contests. Since the dreadful start, Kansas City closed the regular season with 10 straight wins and has averaged 27.8 points per game over that stretch. Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith and a stout Kansas City defense have been the primary reason for the team’s turnaround. Smith has been virtually error-free this season as he has turned the ball over just seven times while producing 22 touchdowns.…

On August 26th, the San Francisco 49ers hosted the Green Bay Packers for a preseason exhibition game. Normally, there is little attention given to these games because they are played with the sole purpose of evaluating the progress of players before the regular season begins. This game, however, ended up receiving worldwide attention for something that happened before the game had even started. Colin Kaepernick, the current backup-QB for the 49ers, made headlines by choosing not to stand during the playing of the national anthem of the United States. Going into the 2016 season, the Dallas Cowboys look like the NFL’s team to beat. Personally, I have to give Jerry Jones all the credit for now his team is assembled. On offense, the Cowboys have gone with the approach that less is more on the offensive line. As we all know, teams with excellent offensive lines have a long history of losing. The 2007 Patriots were the perfect example of a team that had three Pro Bowl offensive linemen but somehow struggled to score points.…
