It was a weekend to remember. I had just got one of those Pitbull water shotguns and a bunch of water pistols for my birthday not a couple of weeks ago. We finished up the last of the cake and ice cream when my friends wanted to go outside. I said sure and we went outside with the arsenal of water guns laying around my house. We drew up spawn areas and prepared a flag so we could play capture the flag. a We all got a chance to fill up our guns and each team of two got to fill empty bottles that were laying around the house with water. When we finished, we had probably had enough what to filled a swimming pool to the two foot line. Once we got to spawn, my mom, who was tanning said “Go!” and all bets …show more content…
He then replied with a sprint for the hose as snuck over to the shed and prepared to release a flurry of water unto them, when I was attacked by a boy with a pool noodle and I was nearly hit, only saved by my pre-loaded pool crayon firing off in his face. He fell to the ground in pain because, as it turns out, my friend filled it with hot water. I quickly apologized and i told him i didn’t know cause my friend gave it to me, to which he responded to by punching me in the stomach and walking off, taking his gear with him to spawn. After this I climbed up the shed and refiled the crayon and primed my Pitbull. I was too late though, for my partner was pinned down by spawn and the enemy had taken the hose and was laying cover fire so that when the gut puncher spawned he could charge, but I was quick and I fired the crayon at Coby while he was turning the hose back on because we had set a time limit for how long you can use the hose and how long the break is. He dodged the first shot causing us to fire in rapid succession at each other put he hit me and I dramatically “fell” off the shed and went back to spawn. When I came back

It all began during the summer of 2015. I had just taken my beat- up fossil of a john- boat off of Gun Lake to fish in a different lake, and were going to put it back on Gun Lake at my grandparent’s house. After rinsing the multitude of worm guts and dirt out of it, we were going to put it back into the lake. My grandparent’s neighbor, Hal, got the chance to come along with me. We vaulted into what we called the “Rhino”, a quad equipped with a driver’s and passenger’s seat.…

The enrichment activity that I would choose would be Assault Rifle shooting. I really enjoy shooting guns and I it is good to know how. If you know how to shoot a gun then you will be able to, defend yourself, take enjoyment out of shooting, and be able to feed yourself. There are also many ways that it could academically contribute, like the mechanics of the firing mechanism. You could also talk about the environmental effects a shot.…

What causes Americans to be Gun Crazy? When certain situations happen that make us really angry, not a great deal of people’s first reaction is to reach for a gun; but Doug Firby states “there are countries, though, where some angry people do crazy things like that, and one of them happens to be our troubled neighbour to the south - the United States” (Firby, 2012). It isn’t news to anyone that Americans are gun crazy. We all live in the “age of rage” but why is it that Americans tend to be killers while others refrain?…

“I look forward to a great future for America. A future in which our country will match its military strength with our moral restraints, it’s wealth with our wisdom, its power with our purpose,” said John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States of America. This great president was shot and killed by a gun, and to be more specific, a 6.5mm Carcano rifle that was easily obtained and that changed the course of history in America forever. The U.S. needs more gun regulations. If only year 1963 had gun regulations like it does now, a tragedy such as the assassination of John F. Kennedy on November 22, in Dallas, Texas, could have been prevented.…

Being raised on a farm in such a rural area such as Monroe County, West Virginia meant learning how to use a firearm was almost more of a necessity than a passion. However, for myself it happened to be both. I love to hunt all sorts of game such as: deer, squirrel, turkey, and dove to name a few. Hunting all these animals obviously requires the use of several different types and calibers of guns.…

The Gun by Paul Langan was the first book I read alone back when I was in 7th grade. I was in my English class examining the shelf of books in the back of the room then a thought came to my head that I never read a book that I wasn’t force to read for homework or read over to prepare for a chapter quiz or test. So I asked my teacher if I could borrow the book for a few weeks which she allow. This book was my first that I didn’t have to stress over about reading 50 pages for the weekend or taking chapter notes to make sure I got and understood what I was reading. This was just for me, so I could take my time, come back to it at any time and I don’t have to rush through pages in order to fulfill an assignment.…

Guns do not kill people. People kill people. There are a lot of reasons that gun control is not the answer. I am strongly against gun control, because I think that if we go through with these laws it will not help. I think it will increase the deaths by guns, and I do not want people to die, that is why I am against it.…

The purpose of a gun to many is a tool used for ending another’s life, but to me it is a tool meant for protection and security. Around a year ago my apartment was broken into by a con artist who had tricked me into showing him my room, he had told me he was a repair man here to replace the old locks with some newer ones. At the time I was fresh out of my parents’ house so I was quite gullible unfortunately, and let him "fix" all my locks. He had planned to break in when me and my roommate were supposed to be at school, however he miscalculated and we were both there.…
