My brother took me along to explore the interior. There are many public rooms, and now that I have taken a look, the ship is quite dazzling. It is impressive that they could put a gymnasium, swimming pool, and squash courts on one ship… everything is brand new and shiny. I can only wonder if it will last the voyage to New York.
The crew seems confident in the ship’s ability to sail well, so I must put all my faith in them. Until we reach New York, I will enjoy the Titanic’s amenities. The restaurant menu is quite exquisite, and sailing in second class is nice. For dinner we had baked haddock with sharp sauce, and finished it off with some American ice cream.

I wished my brother could come with us! But ‘women and children first’, they called. I lost track of him after the boat was filled and lowered. Oh, how cold it was! The air and water was frigid, and I regretted not bringing a blanket or something of the sort. The Titanic was dipping, bow first, into the ocean. There were passengers scrambling to the end of the ship out of the water, some jumping off into the water. Just before it sank, you could see the lights blinking out as the ship lost power.
