Narrative Essay On Pokemon Cards

One night I was at my grandparent's house at the Lake of the Ozarks. I felt like drawing. So I got my pencils, colored pencils, paper, and my mom’s ipad. (for a source) There was one problem though. I didn’t know what to draw! I was trying to think, but I couldn’t! Then I looked at my pokemon cards... {BING!} I was going to draw my own Pokemon cards!

I grabbed a card and outlined it. Then, I looked up a Pokemon that I wanted to put on my card. (I chose Zygarde 50%) After that, I drew the Pokemon’s name, it’s attacks, (not too unfair) and it’s HP. (hit points) All that was left was to give it color. When I colored it, it felt like the colors were leaping off of the paper, like rabbits in a field. When I was finished, it looked awesome! I knew I had done a good job.

They said it looked like the real thing, and that it was popping out at you! After that, I knew that I could draw anything that I put my mind to! I still draw my own, original pokemon cards to this

After completing both the DISC and JUNG Typology assessments, there are many outcomes that I found interesting. For starters, in the DISC assessment there were multiple categories that gave me various feedback. These included decisive, interactive, stabilizing, and cautious categories. My decisive score showed moderately low on the “D” spectrum and I thought that was very accurate. I tend to be hesitant on sharing my opinions in big group setting and I also would rather support someone else’s decisions rather than argue with them unless they are completely wrong.…

While researching Renaissance drawings, I found out that in the 14th century artists began to use paper more and more to draw (Bambach,“ Renaissance Drawings: Material and Function”). Artists prepared their paintings or sculptures with quick drawings. Since the drawings were done quickly, very little detail was captured, but, was done to get a broad idea of where to begin. It allowed viewers to see the creative thinking process of the artist as well. This is why I would like to discuss Giorgio Vasari’s Calvary Skirmish and how it illustrates a creative thinking process.…

I have dabbled with art ever since I was a toddler. I would draw anywhere I went: school, home, and even at church. Developing into this interest, I started writing my own medical journal, where I took notes from a book called Gray’s Anatomy and from the medical dramas I watched.…
