Upon hearing those words, I was truly grateful for my parents. My parents have shown me the importance of love; I make sure to show others the same love I have been given. Without them, I possibly could be alone, trying to make a life for myself without any family to support me. My adoption has taught me how to care for others and to cherish everyone around me. Jenna and her family are friends of my family's; they have played an important role in my life. When I was a child, Jenna was a mentor to me. We’re are both adopted so I was able to form a close bond with her at a young age. If I had any questions that my parents could not answer, I knew I could go to Jenna. We have no medical history of my birth parents. The good thing about that is that it saves me a ton of time when I have to fill out medical paperwork. What we do know about my birth parents are their physical features. For example, my biological mother has blonde hair and gray eyes. My birth father has gray eyes as well, and dark hair. I was recently given this information and I noticed that I have some of their features. I have dark hair like my biological father and my eyes change from blue green to gray at times, just like my parents' eyes might. I have small pieces of my birth parents with me. I also have characteristics from my adoptive family. My entire family is very tall, like me. Also, my brother, grandfather, uncle, and I are all left-handed.
