One winter break, we group of five friends planned to spend time together. We came up with the idea to go trekking to Ghandruk- a popular trekking destination located in Annapurna Region of Nepal and is the 200-kilometer drive from Kathmandu (the Capital City of Nepal). I was much delighted to visit the magnificent and charming beauty of Ghandruk since I was virtually enjoying the glamorous view through television and internet. Finally, it was the moment to unveil the ravishing scene of Ghandruk. It was completely a new experience as well as the most amazing moment in my life. Our journey started from Kathmandu and we headed to Pokhara. It took eight hours to reach over there. Since it was four in the evening we decided to go to hotels …show more content…
A cold wind was blowing as we reached to Phedi. The temperature was freezing and my hands and feet were numbed with cold. My nose began to run and ears were as cold as ice. Though I had put on woolen jackets, gloves, and shocks yet I felt cold and uncomfortable. We buckled up our shoes to move up the steeper hill. It was the most complicated and breath-taking moment in my life. My heart beat was running away and beating like a drum. Proceeding further upward, the foggy and misty clouds vanished by the charming sun that rose up with the strength and warmth. As we were passing down the woods, the chirping sounds and some awkward sounds of animals mesmerized us. As soon as we reached the top, we were restlessness and very tired. Everyone decided to rest and were busy enhancing the beauty of nature. Then, we rose up with new relishment. After two hours of walking through forest and farm terraces, we reached …show more content…
Annapurna and Manaslu. Through Birethati (a place at Dhampus), we turned left towards the modi river. It was flowing so gently and calmly that the fish was enjoying the freedom of joys and happiness. Walking further suddenly I saw a wrinkled face women cutting grass in a steep hill. Beneath the hill, it is the Modi river that can put to her death if anything is wrong. But the bravery and courage is really appreciating. I felt like the chill of death watching that scene. It was completely a new experience for me as I was the city guy grown up with all the facilities. We then passed through the beautiful dense rhododendron forest. The forest was so appealing and pleasing that I never wanted to pass through it but still had a long way to go. It took a long four hours trekking to reach our destination. Finally, I felt like winning a battle after we get over there. It was already four in the evening so we agreed to rest in a hotel where I had my best sleep that night due to weariness and pain in my

    The Deep Movie Analysis

Efficient Icelandic director, Baltasar Kormakur, returns to the cinematic recreations of dramatic real-life events after the accomplished “The Deep”, dated from two years ago. Right after the latter, he made an incursion into the action-crime fictional genre with the uninvolving “Two Guns”, starring Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg. “Everest”, an account of the tragedy occurred in the famous Nepalese mountain in the spring of 1996, also presents a strong cast, including Jason Clarke, Jake Gyllenhaal, Josh Brolin, John Hawkes, Keira Knightley, Robin Wright, and Emily Watson. Screenwriters William Nicholson and Simon Beaufoy try to assemble the different pieces in a mix of family drama, human competition, and survival epic, but in my eyes, and despite watchable, the film falls short of something big. A group of audacious climbers from several nationalities aim to reach the top of the Everest.…

In chapters 7 and 8 of The Blue Sweater, this was written by Jacqueline Novogratz, the one thing that captivated me was when Novogratz climbed Mount Nyiragongo. Novogratz mentions that before she left Africa, she went for an adventure on the tallest mountain which lay between in the Goma, a city in Rwanda, and Zaire. Novogratz and her Canadian friend (Charles) and their tour guide climbed Mount Nyiragongo. The mountain was one of central Africa’ tallest mountain, it shared border with Rwanda and Zaire. While they climbing and hardly surviving the grueling trails of the mount, only to realize that Novogratz had come to Africa similarly unprepared, without a road map, tools, sufficient gear, or protective layering.…

While everyone is at home relaxing and spending time with family you’re working nonstop on your feet and watching the clock until you can leave. The anticipation for Thanksgiving break is over the top. The thought of home cooked meals, family, and no professors talking a student 's ear off for a week are heavenly. Of course all the classic thanksgiving things happen but there are also psychological things that go on. (Darn that psychology sneaking its way into everything, it obviously never goes on break.) Although psychology is used every minute of every day i 'm only going to talk about 5 concepts, persuasion, cognition, emotion, personality, and the self.…

In Anita Desai’s cultural and influencing novel, Fasting, Feasting, the author employs literary devices such as figurative language, reluctant speech, and third person point of view in order to characterize Arun’s distasteful experience at the beach. Demonstrating the use of descriptive words in the passage, Desai illustrates Arun’s annoyance with nature while going to the beach. While making his way through the woods, Arun depicts the cicadas’ “shrill” and the birds’ “shrieks” as an unpleasant sound. Portraying the negative connotation of the language, the “shrill” and “shrieks” represent Arun’s own emotions of unwillingness and annoyance. The piercing noises demonstrate how easily nature disrupts Arun’s mind as he views them as “jarring”…

Christmas break in my opinion is probably the second best brake that we have throughout our school year. The main thing I like about Christmas break is how long it is. But even though I like how long we are off school it's almost like we don't have a break because basketball takes over. We get a few days off but the rest of the days are hitting the gym early in the mornings for two to three hours a day. The days I have is the best thing in the world because I get to relax and do something fun for once.…
