Death Trap Of Hasbrouck Heights

October 31st was the start of it all. It was the Halloween I will never forget for as long as I live. My crazy experience started with one abandoned house on a street known as Ravine Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights. It was the most beautiful Halloween that ever comes across my mind with the beautiful colors of the leaves falling, the cool breeze, and the rustling sounds of the winds. The air was crisp when we arrived at 329 Ravine Ave and entered what was known as the “Death Trap of Hasbrouck Heights.” My friends and I wanted to scare our friends by hiding in and around the house and then jump out screaming, but that’s not all that happened. “Come on guys! We need to hide before they find out what we are up to!”, whispered Giana. “Don’t worry …show more content…
All of a sudden I got a call from Giana saying that they found a note in Minit Mart. The next clue was in one of the delicacies. The four of us sprinted down the boulevard and rushed into the store. The next clue read:
Congratulations on finding your next clue. There isn’t much time left before your little friend isn’t going to be found ever. If you want your friend back then you must do this.
Step 2: Go to one of the oldest candy shops in your nearby town. There will be your last clue in one of the oldest candies there. Good luck!

All of us ran to Cardy’s and asked the man what his oldest candy was in the store. The man directed us to Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bars. There was 100 plus bars!
“We are never going to find this note in time!” cried Olivia.
“Yes we are Liv. don’t give up!” said Jonathan.
“Guys! What is that lonely Hershey’s chocolate bar doing in the storefront window?” questioned

My sister is gone. I don’t know what to do! My mom is going to kill me!” cried Olivia.
“GOT YA!” shouted Julia.
“You scared me to death! Julia where have you been! Who took you?” shouted Olivia.
“Haha! No one took me. I just felt like giving a good Halloween scare. Sure scaring some of you felt good, but I wanted it to be more extreme.” explained Julia.
“So you’re telling me that I went on a major manhunt scared to death for no reason! How long were you planning this?” questioned Olivia.
“I planned it two days ago. I left all of the clues yesterday. The people in the stores were in on it. You could have asked them questions, but I saw that you didn’t.” explained Julia.
“Wait! How did you know that we didn’t ask questions?” asked Shannon.
“I followed you guys on the side streets. You should have seen your faces. They were filled with fear and it was so funny. I was worried that Jonathan saw me while I was on Lasalle, but I guess not since he didn’t say anything.” said Julia.
Everyone was in major disbelief and couldn’t believe what Julia had just done. I was scared to death, but after all of the tension dispersed we all laughed about it and thought about how clever it was. This Halloween was definitely a one to

Halloween, an American tradition where young children can go ‘trick or treating’ around their neighbourhood, however, this has risen the debate of whether this celebration is a safe or a suitable one to be part of. An opinion piece was published on Mamamia on the 29th of October, 2015, titled ‘Why my kids won’t be doing Halloween’, written by Alissa Warren, implies that Halloween is a ridiculous and an inappropriate event to be participated by anyone. In a disconcerting and exasperated tone, Warren targets readers of Mamamia and parents, of this whole issue of the pointless festivity. The article was also accompanied by a visual image that displays some kids in costume, trick or treating, with no one around and followed by a comment, written…
