The disorder is, the opposite of self-worship. It is the incapability to love oneself and also the inability to love another person (Ledernan, 1982). This disorder stretches from the patient not being able to love oneself, which the patient searches out for excessive admiration. With the inability to love another person this brings an issue where the patient had an issue of recognizing of identifying the feelings and needs of others. The lack of empathy is due to the preoccupation with fantasies of unlimited success or beauty.
