NCIS New Orleans

On Tuesday night the viewers of “NCIS:New Orleans” were on the edge of their seats as the investigative unit reviewed what appeared to be an accidental death on the race track. Anything but accidental and a story full of plots and twists, the clues of this case revealed a big surprise at the end.

Opening up with the fatal accident of a Navy driver at a local New Orleans race track, the team looks at the possibilities of it being an accident. WHile the witnesses aren’t talking, the victim showed wounds from previous injuries. Dying on impact, the stab wound found by Dr. Loretta Wade showed an injury that needed medical attention but was treated without medical help. When the team found a duffel bag of cash in the victim’s garage, more questions emerged as the red dye suggested it was from a bank heist.

Looking to get answers, Agent Percy reaches out to FBI Special Agent

A high speed chase ensues with the remaining robbers with LaSalle catching up and finally arresting the remaining members of the racing robbers. Thankfully the Federal Reserve never lost a dime!

Showing the interactions of the office, Agent LaSalle’s big fatherhood surprise got another twist as he found out he wasn’t really the father’s child. A bit relieved and sad, the character finds himself struggling with how to deal with the zealous father who allegedly has abuse the child and his mother. Looking to make a positive change, he does the right thing and appears to have a chance to give the mother and child a new life and sends them on their way.

Overall the episode of “NCIS: New Orleans” was full of action and quick paced. However, the story around Agent Gregorio and her decision to stay (or go) has become slow. Her motives seem self serving and even if she does stay, viewers have to wonder if she can put her lifelong dream of catching a criminal behind her. Episode grade:

I enjoyed how Sheri Fink wrote this book during the first half the reader gets a front row experience of being at Memorial Medical during hurricane Katrina and traumatic days that followed while the second half consists of the investigation against a doctor and two nurses for murdering patients. The prose is exceptional, it is very well researched with a big section of notes, it includes an index if for any reason you need to reference anything, there is a helpful list of selected individuals at Memorial during the hurricane, and two maps orienting you to the hospital. Anyone who reads Five Days at Memorial will have their own opinion on what happened and if it was done with or without malice. I personally believe that due to the circumstances the accused medical professionals made the right…

Introduction New Orleans, Louisiana was awarded its first National Football League franchise on November 1, 1966. The franchise became the 16th team in the National Football League and was named the Saints due to the fact that the birthday of the franchise falls on the Roman Catholic Church’s All Saints Day; widely appropriate considering New Orleans is predominately a Catholic city. The city of New Orleans and its beloved franchise has had to deal with some of the most adverse situations imaginable. For example, on August 29, 2005 Hurricane Katrina devastated the city of New Orleans and caused widespread damage to the Saints home stadium, the Louisiana Superdome. That year the Saints went just 3-13 however, bounced back in 2006 with a trip…

Hurricane Katrina was one of the worst natural disasters that occurred in the United States history. This hurricane caused major damage to city infrastructure, residents homes and left many people homeless, starving, and without water because of this storm. The lack of leadership willing to assume responsibility and take control of this situation was purely embarrassing. Officials ranking from New Orleans mayor, all of the way up to president bush were simply finger pointing and would not accept responsibility and accountability of what happened. In my essay, I will be taking a look at how biases from government individuals could have impeded rather than supported efforts of survivors based on their perceptions of their jurisdictions and…

In his editorial "Words Triumph Over Images," Curtis Wilkie describes the TV coverage of Hurricane Katrina as "unfiltered" and "reckless." He argues that print news journalists did a much better job covering the event than TV or radio news reporters, and for this reason he claims that print news is superior to other kinds of coverage. However, any type of news media could be characterized as either reckless or responsible, depending on how poorly or how well journalists use content, time, and resources to craft their news stories. The TV reporters who were live on the scene in New Orleans were faced with the challenges of time, access to information, and their own overwhelming emotions.…
