Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a set of questionnaires which helps indicate the psychological preferences in how people perceive the things and make decisions. It was developed by Isabel Briggs Myers and her mother Katharine Briggs, based on the theory proposed by Carl Jung, which explains that humans experience the world using four principal psychological functions and that one of these four functions are dominant most of the time for a person. The four principal psychological functions are sensation, intuition, feeling and thinking. MBTI was proposed to emphasize the value of naturally happening differences and to make the understandings of type theory accessible to individual and groups. There are 16 possible psychological types according to MBTI and each type is represented by four letters. …show more content…
I used www.humanmetrics.com to perform the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) test. According to the Humanmetrics Jung Typology test, my type was ENTJ (Extravert, iNtuituve, Thinking, Judging). With this test, I found out that my slight preference of Extraversion over Introversion is 6%, slight preference of Intuition over Sensing is 9%, marginal or no preference of Thinking over Feeling is 1% and moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving is 41%. ENTJs are the charming and creative leader with a vision of change.
As per the self-development description of ENTJ type, ENTJs have a natural tendency to be leaders. People with this personality have the charm and confidence of a world leader. ENTJs have the ability to think tactically and they are determined and focused. They accept challenges and work hard to achieve their goals which makes them great business leaders and entrepreneurs. ENTJs are often involved in occupations that require good analytical and organization skills.
