I was zooming through the air in a plane at rapid speeds, yet I was at a point in my life where everything was at a standstill. Nothing significant was happening. I was an aspiring soccer player, but at the moment I had no team to play on. I was growing more anxious day by day, and I began to wonder what the future had in store for me after my vacation. It wouldn't take long for me to find out. I would have never thought that my vacation to Thailand in June of 2017 would change my life. It started off like any other vacation, but little did I know what was going to happen. Opportunities can arise at the most unexpected of places, and it is up to you to have the strength and courage to take them. Its modern architecture and its busy streets kept us occupied for the full three days. Hua Hin was a beautiful beach town with warm waters and fresh seafood. My family and I practically spent all three days eating fried fish and relaxing on an infinity pool near the beach. School and soccer never crossed my mind. It was only when we were on our seven hour car ride back to my grandparent's house that I realized I was going to be able to play a game of soccer. "Guess what?" my grandma said. "What?" I replied. "It turns out that your cousin is head coach for a soccer academy in Udon Thani. You might get to play with them for a day or two," she said. At that moment I really didn't care whether I was going to play or not. I knew that after this vacation I was going to head back to California and train for different upcoming tryouts. Therefore, I put that event in Udon Thani to the back of my head. We arrived at my grandparent's house, and I devoured oysters, clams , and exotic fruits for the next two days. I was stuffed.
