No, I will not be the first to attend college. The role of college in my life will be one of the most or the most important part, to the start of my adult education. I have worked so hard in school, for the grades I have and I am very determined to get a degree. I want to have a degree so I can get a really good paying job. I want a occupation that I will love and enjoy, but also a job that I have confidence in succeeding at.

In order to get better grades in school, two things that I can do better are studying for tests and asking for assistance. Sometimes when I take tests I answer the questions just from memory. I do have time to study at home but I am lazy and don’t really know how to study. I need help to learn how to study for tests at school and at home. Another piece that I need more confidence with is asking questions to clarify what is being taught. I have always had a hard time asking questions when I am confused or need help. Previously, I had always been nervous about asking questions as to not seem unintelligent. I now know that it is the exact opposite and that asking questions is essential to my own understanding of a subject, especially when it comes to math. I've also learned that there is no shame in staying after class or coming in at a different time to talk to your instructor about the content of the previous class period. If anything, it helps reiterate the important points and information that will be valuable for your assignments. Not only that, but talking with your instructor can also help one understand content and clear up any confusion on specific language or topics.…
