My Experience With Kinder Art Board Recruitment

Improved Essays
Last summer I joined a project called “Kinder Art” as a member of the content department. Thanks to it I have actually realized the career I want to pursue in the future.

A sense of excitement ran in my veins when attending the first core team meeting. Ideas filled heads, all of us were energetic and eager to start up “Kinder Art 2.0”. After the meeting, basically we had had the project outline and the rest of the job was bringing the images in our head into reality. Of course running a project with five members was nearly impossible, so the management board recruitment was launched. I had never been an interviewer before therefore experiencing a sense of nervous and enthusiasm was quite predictable. We were thrilled by how amazing, intelligent

That how “Hanaemi” was born, this was where pupils’ works would be represented and people would come and contemplate childish art. In order to make the exhibition more attractive, we offered more activities such as tarot reading, notebooks making and glass bottle drawing. Things started to go wrong when we realized that creating an event was not at easy at it might look, especially when the budget was empty. But the exhibition idea sounded so alluring to us and without hesitation, we announced to all members and started to turn the idea into reality. It was nearly as starting from scratch all over again with coming up with ideas, writing the timeline, planning media schedule, finding financial support, looking for venues and the list go on. The Lucky God must have noticed us since a café shop called and offered a free space for the event so that was one less job to worry about. It was important to get more like on the project Facebook fanpage to get more notice so all members mobilize their friends and families to like and share posts and photos of the project and the Hanaemi event. My best friend even used his grandmother Facebook account to like the page. When it was the night before the event there were about 15 people of both members and volunteers gathering at The Cube Café and setting …show more content…
“Kinder Art” and “Hanaemi” were my first ever events and although they were not as successful as imagined but thanks to them I have come to a realization that my adoration for event management was not one of those teenager’s interests but it was, it is and it will be my life career. The work might require staying up all nights, working hard all days and squeezing every last creative neutron in my brain but I am ready for it because event management to me is more than just a tool to earn money in future. It is my passion and a burning

I grew up in an upper-middle class, white, Catholic family, in the middle of suburban Cary, North Carolina. Culture was a term introduced in school with pictures of exotic places and bright wardrobes; history lived inside textbooks with stories of war and migration. My fourth grade family history project contained one piece of information: my great-grandmother sailed to the States from Italy in 1904. The little history and culture introduced by my family showed me who I do not want to become. While the teachings of Christianity shaped me into a compassionate, open-hearted person, I struggle to accept the dogma that followed it.…

A Look Back on Being a Mentor Prior to this year and becoming a mentor at Carver Elementary, during my 12th grade year in high school I was in a program that allowed me to work as an intern in a 3rd grade classroom at a local elementary school in Virginia Beach. Since I was so fond of my experience there and I generally love working with children I was elated at the fact that I would once again work with children. Upon walking in on my very first day of not only Univ 111, but my very first day of college and hearing the words “Ok, I would like to let you know now that this is a service learning class.” , I was very confused in many aspects. First off, I wasn’t quite sure what focused inquiry was in the first place and to add on top of that I really wasn’t sure what service learning was.…

As we’ve studied the different types of educational philosophies in class, I’ve been able to see which category my beliefs fall into and where that puts me in the teaching world. Throughout my educational career, my family and teachers have shaped my philosophy into a combination of both romanticism and progressivism. As a teacher I want to be able to help a student strive for self-fulfillment while focusing on individual student’s learning processes. Based on my ideals, I want for my classroom to be a place where my students can go to learn in a way that suits their personality, and in a non-pressured environment. I want to be able to engage my students and challenge them to learn based on their interests.…

While some people may think of event management as a degree in party planning, it is gaining credibility as a legitimate career. The Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council created event management standards which also led to the definition of exactly what an event is (Robertson, 2015). An event is “a social form that organizes interaction in a distinctive way” or the “gathering of three or more people who agree to assemble for a purpose ostensibly related to the functioning of an organization or group” (Beaulie, 2004). According to Michael Auerbach, “in 2006 there were 51,000 event planners in the U.S. and 39% of those were within an event planning company” which demonstrates the grand size of the industry and its obvious importance to society (2015). The purpose of this paper is to explore a career in event planning.…
