Last summer I joined a project called “Kinder Art” as a member of the content department. Thanks to it I have actually realized the career I want to pursue in the future.
A sense of excitement ran in my veins when attending the first core team meeting. Ideas filled heads, all of us were energetic and eager to start up “Kinder Art 2.0”. After the meeting, basically we had had the project outline and the rest of the job was bringing the images in our head into reality. Of course running a project with five members was nearly impossible, so the management board recruitment was launched. That how “Hanaemi” was born, this was where pupils’ works would be represented and people would come and contemplate childish art. In order to make the exhibition more attractive, we offered more activities such as tarot reading, notebooks making and glass bottle drawing. Things started to go wrong when we realized that creating an event was not at easy at it might look, especially when the budget was empty. But the exhibition idea sounded so alluring to us and without hesitation, we announced to all members and started to turn the idea into reality. It was nearly as starting from scratch all over again with coming up with ideas, writing the timeline, planning media schedule, finding financial support, looking for venues and the list go on. The Lucky God must have noticed us since a café shop called and offered a free space for the event so that was one less job to worry about. It was important to get more like on the project Facebook fanpage to get more notice so all members mobilize their friends and families to like and share posts and photos of the project and the Hanaemi event. My best friend even used his grandmother Facebook account to like the page. When it was the night before the event there were about 15 people of both members and volunteers gathering at The Cube Café and setting …show more content…
“Kinder Art” and “Hanaemi” were my first ever events and although they were not as successful as imagined but thanks to them I have come to a realization that my adoration for event management was not one of those teenager’s interests but it was, it is and it will be my life career. The work might require staying up all nights, working hard all days and squeezing every last creative neutron in my brain but I am ready for it because event management to me is more than just a tool to earn money in future. It is my passion and a burning
