My Moving Experience

Improved Essays
Most of my life has been spent on moving. Every since I started school I have been moving from the North to the South. I’ve changed school areas at least five times in my life which has really hurt my education. This moving was because of my mother’s and father’s split. After being transferred to each school I went to, there was always some material that everyone else knew that I didn’t. For example, At the end of 3rd grade I moved to New Jersey, In 4th grade when we were in our writing unit everyone in the class could write in cursive except for me, I had missed the lesson that was taught in 3rd grade there. So at the end of 4th grade I moved back to Virginia and 5th grade came and once the writing lesson came I was told that the cursive lesson was taught in 4th grade, so until this very day I still have no clue on how to write in cursive.

Recently, I was told that I was moving to North Carolina with my mother but that’s not what I want to do, I’m just sick of the back and

Just the other week I was in charge of cooking all the food at a local church for about 30 homeless people. Even though it was a lot of work, It was a great experience and I left church that day with a good heart. I’ve also cooked for several events that were just voluntary because I believe that the most important thing about promoting your business is doing kind things to get you noticed in your community.

Owning a business isn’t easy but it isn’t hard. It just requires a strong commitment that I have and a start would be getting my business administration degree (Master's) and since I have a passion in cooking and handling food I am going to double major with a Food Science degree (Master’s). I am also very interested in the entrepreneur program my freshman and sophomore year. I believe that Delaware State University is a perfect suit for me and I will continue to do my research until it is time to start

I underestimated my capacity for growth and learning. Though the small size and geographic isolation are rewarding for many, I long for more resources. I miss the social diversity that I had in high school. The college that I do want to study at has more academic resources and a more diverse community. Although I can challenge myself wherever I am, I want to be in a place where others are challenging themselves as well.…
