I was first introduced to tennis at the end of my freshman year in high school. After trying out for the team I later realized this was the best decision I ever made. I was the only freshman on the team. was the only I fell in love with the sport and I have always been since then. Tennis always managed to keep me calm and I would also go to play to relieve stress from a tough day. That one feeling that you get after the ball and the racket make contact is the best feeling ever. At the time I did not have any friends on the team and was not involved in many activities. I would get this feeling of bubbles in my stomach but without the added unfamiliar feeling. Being a member of the team really meant a lot to me and that also meant that I had to put in effort toward what I did as a team member. Team members are to encourage other team members in order to better them in different ways. When we would go to matches, we wore our red and black jerseys which caught a lot of attention. We would always chant “wildcats” when we got to the rival school to try and intimidate them. We were the wildcats and we sure were proud of it because we were known around town for out good sports record and intense competitive skills. First the doubles marches would begin and each member of the team was paired with someone that had the same or close competition ability. As for me I was paired with Levi who was my partner during my senior year as a varsity player. Levi was a short kid, really skinny and pale but he sure could play.
