We had to pretend we were in that moment of time where the occasion is occurring and give a speech based off of that occasion. I did my special occasion speech on my friends Rachel and Thai’s wedding. I noticed during this speech after watching it, I did have some of the similar and same habits as I did in my persuasive speech. I used my hands a lot, I swayed my body throughout the speech, was very fidgety and used “um” and “like” a lot as word fillers. I noticed I did not have as good eye contact in this speech as I did in the persuasive speech because I had to do a lot of thinking to remember where what was going to say in the next part of the story I was giving.…

The presentation will contain no gimmicks or unnecessary information in order to save time and avoid confusion with assistants. The topic will also be on something that I am already familiar with, which hopefully will ease my nerves and anxiety seeing as I will be more comfortable with the material and less likely to forget it. By structuring my persuasive speech in this way, I hope I will be able to conduct a speech that is even better than my informative…

My speech was well-organized because at the beginning of my speech I was very clear about the three things I was talking about. I did this by using words like first, second, and third. This made it clear what order they would go in and that they were different main points in my speech. In addition to making it clear what order my points went in, I made sure to use the same words to signal when I transitioned to a new point in the speech. This made it easier to follow and know when I was moving on to a new part of the…

An informative speech is a speech where you are educating an audience on a topic that they may not know much about, while a persuasive speech uses a bias opinion to persuade the audience to change their opinion about a topic. A persuasive speech may also be informative because of the information it contains, but an informative speech will never be persuasive. The reason behind this is in order to persuade the audience to take your side in a matter they may also need to be informed more about the topic before making their decision, making this a persuasive speech. An informative speech will never contain persuasive information (Brewer, G., 2001).…
