The Bahamas welcomes me with open arms. After a long journey, my family and I have finally arrived. It’s twelve in the afternoon and the sun is scorching with all of its mighty heat. My stomach was twisted in a tight knot. I didn’t know how I could stay here only for six hours. That’s all we got to spend here. I knew for a fact that this was going to be the best six hours of my entire life. I step off the cruise ship with all of my beach necessities: a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, and flip flops. I overlook the beautiful scenery ahead of me. The water surrounding the port was sparkling with shades of sky blue and emerald. I am drawn in by the tranquilizing atmosphere that encircles me. I could feel the slight breeze rush towards my direction as it sweeps away my long and thick hair. The sudden draft echoes throughout my entire small-framed body. The blazing sun ray pierces my skin with excitement. I could feel the warmth of the sun turn my skin pigments a shade darker. Looking out onto the far beach, I see a glimpse of tourists riding jet-skis toward the infinite horizon. Palm trees swayed back and forth with the wind. Seagulls speckled the sky wandering around in circles. They seem to be whispering in their own kind of language scouting for their next fish to devour.
