My Grandpa Lacy: A Short Story

Decent Essays
My great grandpa Lacy had just passed away and we were about to sell his house. I was in the fifth grade when this happened and I was asked to mow his lawn one last time. It was a fairly warm day and we were heading out to Lacy’s. I started mowing his house when I got stuck in a ditch. My aunt Linda had to help me get out. She said she would do the rest since there wasn’t a lot left. During the time I was mowing I started thinking about him. I remember when my brother and I would go over and run around his yard, and talk to him. It was one of those I-wish-I-could-have-you-back moments.

Personal Essay Being homeschooled, Timmy was a large part of my life. We were together almost every day for as long as I can remember.
