My Family: A Cross-Cultural Analysis

My father went to high school between 1968 and 1972 in a town called Fowler, CA right outside of Fresno. I went to high school between 2010 and 2014 in Clovis.
FAMILY COMPOSITION My father was the baby of three older siblings. First was my Aunt Mary who was 14 years older than him and passed away when he was 17 at the age of 30. Second is my Aunt Anne who is exactly nine years older than my father (they have the same birthday) who married her husband Fred when my dad was 15. She had her son Rickie when my father was 16. Then my Uncle Tony who is six years older than my father who married when my dad was 13 and had his daughter, Jacqueline, when my father was 14. Later he divorced when my father was 16. My grandfather (Tony Hurado) was 58 years old and my grandmother (Remedio Hurado) was 57 years when my father graduated from high school. I am the baby of two older siblings. First is Samantha who is nine years older than I am and then Rachel who is seven years older than me. My father was 59 years old and my mother was 53 years old when I graduated from high school.

When my father was in high school his father worked full time at a packaging company by driving a forklift. His mother stayed home and took care of Mary who by that time had started to suffer severely from her lifetime long epilepsy. When Mary passed his mother took a job at another packaging company inspecting raisins to be packaged. My father estimated that his father earned about $3 dollars an hour and his mother earned about $2 to $2.50 dollars an hour. My father believed he was apart of the lower middle class.
